Antonio Fogarizzu

A member of a family of artisan metal works whose name is closely linked to the history of Sardinian knives, Antonio Fogarizzu made his first contacts with his art in the workshop of his father, Salvatore.
After a long apprenticeship which allowed him to learn and master the construction techniques of classic knife types, starting from 1997 he began to experiment with innovative lines and new, unusual materials from which came his first Damascus steel blades. The constant search for a personalized style led him - the only bladesmith in Italy to do so - to experiment with mosaic Damascus steel, a precious, difficult material which today is the hallmark of his creations. |
